A Case of Wilson´s Disease

Abstract
|
|
|
In this paper a case of Wilson´s disease that was observed in a Korean boy, aged 10, was presented.
The clinical characteristics of this case were as follows:
1) The symtoms and signs such as dysphagia, dysarthria, dystonia, muscle rigidity, gait disturbance, emotional lability and immaturity were observed.
2) The Kayser-Fleischer ring seen on the undersurface of the cornea near its margin was identified.
3) Low level of serum copper and ceruloplasmin and high level of urinary copper in the laboratory findings were observed.
4) In treatment B.A.L. and low copper diet were administered.
